Sam Harris argues here that moral issues are not the sole province of religious authority or philosophical speculation, but that morality is a matter that can be addressed and informed by science, and thus put on a more rigorous footing than mere faith or subjective opinion. On pain of being accused of scientism, I’m inclined to agree with him.
