G’day, peeps, and a good Friga’s Day for those of you living anywhere in Scandinavia! This week has been…interesting. Sunday, we had a game, which was a good thing, with a new player getting involved in the GURPS campaign — Welcome, Thomas. I’m still on a break from formal studying, and just reading for fun. If I learn something, cool, and if all I get out of it is entertainment, that’s good too, since it encourages me to read more. I’ve a problem with zoning out too soon when reading something, but I’m making progress in working on that — I’m often too easily distracted by minutia, or distracted by fear of distraction — NOT good!

Also this Sunday I posted a video, Azureus Rising on my blogspot site, and on the same, Fun With Fractals for the Weekend.

Over on the Books, Craft’s and Pretty Things blog there’s Picaso to Warhol at the Art Gallery of WA and Cat Thursday — with Poppy.

On Left Hemispheres, there’s The Double Bind of Christian Faith in God, A List of Companies that Support Marriage Equality, and Aurora Theater Shooting Victims Charities — Check them out, and on that last, donate if you can!

Earlier this Monday, I posted on Demythologizing Reason, the greatest machine that never was, on Charles Babbage‘s Analytical Engine for a little steampunk goodness (and I’ll be checking out The Witches of Chiswick too!), and Misogyny — Not a Laughing Matter, which, not surprisingly,  got some critical commentary.

This Wednesday, I posted my review to The Art of Scientific Investigation, a TED talk by Vinay Venkatraman, and the Fractals of the Midweek.

Kriss’s blog had a good post Let’s Divide and Conquer THEM, not the Other Way Around.

For us godless types, there’s How to Suck at Your Religion on the Oatmeal. I recommend going all the way to the last part on that one.

As of this publishing, this blog has the following statistics:

  • 1782 posts, including this one,
  • 169 subscribers, both WordPress & email,
  • 1639 Twitter followers,
  • …and 108,681 steely-eyed page views by you, my wonderful readers. Good morning!
